With over 42 years of professional experience in the financial services industry, Heino possesses a depth of experience and knowledge across a broad spectrum of competencies and academic achievements in the field. He has held senior executive positions in insurance companies, banks, superannuation and national financial planning organisations. Heino also held roles with Responsible Entities involved in property related managed investment schemes and has acted as a trustee of a public offer superannuation fund. In those roles, Heino has developed multi manager investment products, superannuation master funds, wrap accounts and property related and financial structures within managed investment schemes.
Heino is a subject matter expert in financial planning and compliance. Since 2006, he has authored the chapter on Compliance and Best Practice in the annually published authoritative text, CCH Australian Master Financial Planning Guide. He has been a member of the Australian Financial Planning Association’s Professional Standards Committee and is currently on the Higher Education Curriculum Committee for the Bachelor of Finance (Financial Planning) degree at the NSW TAFE.
Heino holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts (Actuarial Studies) from Macquarie University in Australia. He is a Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant (FCPA) with CPA Australia, a certified Financial Planner and is registered with the Tax Practitioners Board in Australia.
